Sadness.
I miss
My Father
And
My Brother.
I miss my youth.
If I can just stand still
And smile.

smiles. i feel much the same looking at old photos of those that have already passed beyond the veil...very cool. keep it up...and when you are ready you should hook up with the other 55s at gmans on fridays...
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, Brian. I will have to pay a visit to Gman. I like the 55-word format because well, it's only 55 words! LOL
ReplyDeletehi hon - never heard of the 55 word format - new to me - must look into it and try it out. Good job. xoxo and smoochies from Golden Destroyer.
ReplyDeleteOld photos say so much, don't they? I love looking through the boxes of old photos they sell in antique stores, which sometimes bear the sign "Instant Ancestors." So many stories there (which, by the way, make wonderful writing prompts).
ReplyDeleteHi Crone,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow! You and Brian Miller have inspired me to try my creative writing. I like the 55-word format because it's not too painful: There's a beginning and an end!
PattiKen, thank you for visiting. You look very familiar. I must fly over to your blog.
